What is VLC Media Player?

VLC is a portable multi-media player. VLC supports many audio and video codecs and file formats, as well as DVDs, and VCDs. VLC 0.8.6 does not contain any DVD copying, DRM cracking features, or DVD decryption; nor does VLC promote or condone the use of streaming copyrighted material.
